PLASTERING & SKIMMING IN PENN

Local Plastering, Done Properly

Penn falls under the City of Wolverhampton, not Dudley or Sandwell, a different authority from most of the towns we cover, so building-control sign-off on larger plastering-related work goes through Wolverhampton City Council rather than the Dudley or South Staffordshire teams that handle our other jobs nearby. Around Goldthorn Hill and Pinfold Lane, the housing is mostly inter-war semis and some older Penn village terraces, and re-skimming original lime plaster in the older properties is the regular job, with patch repairs and artex removal more common on the 1960s-70s estate housing further out.

Re-Skimming Older Walls

Original lime plaster in Penn village's older terraces, stripped back and re-skimmed to a smooth, modern finish.

New-Build & Extension Skimming

Plasterboard skimming for extensions and conversions on the inter-war semis around Goldthorn Hill.

Artex Removal

Dated textured ceilings, common on the area's 1960s-70s estate housing, skimmed flat or overboarded.

Patch Repairs

Cracks, damp-damaged patches and repairs after plumbing or electrical work, blended into the existing wall.

I’ve used Jamie for numerous plastering projects over the years and apart from him being a first class plasterer he’s also an extremely nice man and I would without hesitation recommend him for any plastering work.

Jamie boarded and plastered my living room ceiling and also skimmed the walls adding mesh to prevent cracking. The finish was excellent with very little prep required prior to painting. I sprayed the emulsion on afterwards and it’s all as smooth as a piece of paper now. Thanks Jamie. 👍🏻
